Blame Uncharted 2 [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. I really meant to get this done last night when I got home from Eric’s, but I started playing Uncharted 2 instead (I’m so close to the ending!). I’ll probably review the game when I finish it and I’ve had a chance to really think about the game. Other than that, I have a few bits and pieces of news for you, mostly having to do with, you guessed it, Left 4 Dead 2. ...

Scavenge Mode [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. Wow, what a long Game Overview hiatus! Did you guys miss it? I didn’t adequately gather this week’s news for GO, so instead I’m going to focus on one thing and one game: the recently announced Scavenge Mode for Left 4 Dead 2 (come on now, did you really think I could talk about any other game after that long break?) ...

Back to Business for a Bit [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. I was originally just going to post another video and not write anything, but then I realized that there was Left 4 Dead 2 news this week and I couldn’t let another week go by without mentioning the game (did you know I’m excited about its release?). Obvious, but nice to hear… ...

No MLB PP 2009 Again, Cheaper PS3, and More L4D Campaigns! [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. I get tired of saying it guys, but, really, MLB Power Pros 2009 is not coming to North America. Nintendo has, yet again, released a list of upcoming titles for 2009 ( seen here, from Kotaku) Seriously guys, it sucks, but we’re not getting the game. Gamestop Getting Paid Hey readers, surprise! Summer of Arcade, 1 G$ in Losses, Twisted Shadows, and More![Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. There’s been a lot of news this week, so let’s get right down to it. The Xbox Live Summer of Arcade schedule has been announced and it looks like there are some great games coming soon. 22 July - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled - A 3D update of the classic arcade and SNES beat-em-up, this game could be fun, but then again, the 3D models just look so uninspired compared to the cartoon and their pixelated counterparts. ...

BlazBlue, Twitter x WoW, Lucasarts Back Catalog, Ueda vs. Miyamoto, and More [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. I figured I’d start with BlazBlue today, since the game just came out and I sunk an evening in playing it. I don’t have all that much to say about it yet, but it’s intriguing in a very not Street Fighter way. The fighters are all insanely detailed and designed in an intricately anime fashion, leaving no moe niche unserved and the fighting system is deceptively simple, but actually WAY complicated, as most of these things are nowadays. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to sink into it, especially because Street Fighter IV has nabbed my attention yet again, but I will keep posting impressions as I play. ...

Beatles, Konami Discrimination, Uncharted 2, and, Oh No Mai! [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. Let’s start with a little NSFW. Remember that game Left 4 Dead? Remember how Zoey was a great example of a non-sexualized hero, something Valve specializes? Remember no more, because diligent modders have released the Nude Zoey mod ( Kotaku story mildly NSFW, but no actual nudity in it). The designer of the mod wasn’t happy with just slapping on a nude skin, nope, apparently it wasn’t complete until Zoey featured realistic boob jiggle. Modders have too much time on their hands, perhaps? ...

Ghosts, Zoey Clothes, Ten, the SML Theme, and Bit Boy [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. Death Death in a single-player game is a fairly private thing. You do something stupid and, if your friends aren’t there, no one knows it happened and no one can even see it. Heck, if you’re playing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the Prince will even refuse to canonically admit that he died due to their unique narrative structure. ...

E3 Extravaganza [Game Overview]

Insert another credit, because it’s time for your weekly video game news and you’ve just hit the Game Overview screen. E3 is a magical time for video games. So much news happened in this past week that this is gonna be an epic post filled with tons of trailers and news. In no particular order, here it goes: Look! A three-headed monkey! First off we have the Monkey Island news again. Tales of Monkey Island will be debuting next month (!) on 7 July from Telltale Games. Yes, it’s super exciting…yes, Telltale has proven that they can have moderate success and timely release with episodic adventure games…but I don’t feel the humor of Ron Gilbert in the trailer. ...
