E3 2012 - Lost Planet 3 [GO/ER]
I really dig the everyman personality that the protagonist seems to have. Not to mention that I’ve been really sweet on Capcom games since RE5 and Dead Rising 2.

The Biohazard threat continues. Will RE6 end up co-op (and awesome) like RE5? I really hope so.
[caption id="" align=“aligncenter” width=“500” caption=“So maybe I wasn’t playing video games at birth nor was this blog running 25 years ago, but this is my 25th year too!”] [/caption] 2011 was an odd year in games for me. It started out like any other, filled with joy and happiness, and then it was all wrenched away halfway through, thanks to that burglary, until I was able to start replenishing my stores and getting the ball rolling again for the second half. ...
[caption id="" align=“aligncenter” width=“500” caption=“The more things change the more things stay the same.”] [/caption] This was a really video game and TV heavy weekend. Two big “Sky” games in Skyrim and Skyward Sword hit and I put in pretty good time with both. Movies Wow, I’m surprised I didn’t get one in this week again. ...
Watched all of the 7 Minutes in Heaven clips that were out there. So funny! So awkward! So great! Movies Sorry, guys. No movies this week. TV The Walking Dead - Glenn remains the best thing about this show. Getting the rope around the fat zombie, hooking up with Maggie, and overall being funny and awesome. That part where he tries to be all cool in front of Maggie was hilarious and understated. ...
[caption id="" align=“aligncenter” width=“337” caption=“Doesn’t get much better than being portrayed by Brad Pitt in a movie. (Photo courtesy nsusco)”] [/caption] It’s fitting that I watched a movie about baseball considering how much baseball I also watched this weekend. Had to watch to support the Rays. They’ve got three games to make up a one game deficit. You can do it, Tampa Bay! ...
[caption id="" align=“aligncenter” width=“500” caption=“Dom’s emo beard is the lynchpin the game revolves around (Picture courtesy GamingBits)”] [/caption] Yesterday I did two stupid things. When I started up my Public Arcade mode campaign I enabled “Scavenge Mode” (or whatever the mutator is called), which forces players to scavenge for ammo rather than find it littered about in ammo crates. Then, around midnight when I was hovering around Act IV Chapter 5 I thought, “Boy, there can’t be much more left to this game. I should just finish.” ...
[caption id="" align=“aligncenter” width=“500” caption=“I thought about posting a picture of Rob Corddry instead, but I think we’d all much rather see Malin Åkerman. (Image used courtesy of Gage Skidmore)”] [/caption] Movies The Wrong Side of Town - Danielle’s parents were watching the tail end of this terrible wrestler movie. It was pretty awful, so I read a Batman comic instead of paying that much attention. ...
TV Weeds - New season started yesterday. The three year time gap puts Nancy in New York City and moves far past the storylines from last year by also claiming that Esteban is dead and his cartel disbanded. It seems that Nancy is heading toward working in the weapons trade instead, which is interesting, but we’ll see where the season goes. Ever since they left Agrestic this show has really started to shine as it changes every year. Can’t wait to see where it goes this year. ...
Just about every serious adult (and employed) gamer has one thing in common, regardless of his/her tastes: the pile of shame. It sounds a lot worse than it is, because it’s definitely not a stack of Barbie Horse Adventure games or anything, it’s a stack of games that have all received critical acclaim or come highly recommended, but that the gamer has no time to get around to playing, mainly because of other releases or just being too busy. ...
