Casa de mi Padre - Movie Poster It was a long week, but also a fun one. I got to see some dear friends of mine and their awesome new house, so I’d say it was a total win. Movies Casa de mi padre - I was expecting a telenovela parody and a silly comedy, but I wasn’t expecting Ferrell to translate his entire schtick to Spanish. It was pretty much exactly that. Looks like a much more interesting release month than February. I’ve got interest in The Hunger Games and Casa de Mi Padre for sure, but some of the others are question marks. Will Friends With Kids be funny enough to watch? 21 Jump Street has as much chance of being terrible as not (who am I kidding, terrible is far more likely). My interest in The Raid depends on how little they rely on implausible string/CGI work, and Goon could be interesting. ...

Umm…what? This looks kind of amazing for how daring and bizarre it is. I like the conceit that Will Ferrell is a Mexican actor just getting introduced to America. Don’t like the bad Spanish grammar, but I’ll take what I can get. Yeah, I guess I’ll go see this if it’s fresh on RT.
