Google Music Beta [F/MD]
I got into the Google Music Beta! More info as I figure more out, but so far it seems great. My music is being uploaded to the cloud as we speak and I’ve been able to listen to it on my phone wherever I have a signal. It’s nice to have such a mobile library!
Chew: Two Issues In [BT]
With indie comics you almost never know what you’re gonna get. The premise to Chew seemed interesting, but would it be a gritty crime comic or would it be lighthearted and fun? The bizarre, quasi-cannibalistic premise allowed for it to go either way, but I think this plot point cements the tone. You see, the FDA has outlawed poultry because of bird flu (some think it’s a conspiracy). That is why Tony Chu is staking out a chicken speakeasy working for the vice squad and why the FDA has become some kind of FBI-analog in this world. ...

Eric’s gone and done it. His renewed enthusiasm for comics has gone and made me want to read them again. Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (Issues #141-148) - The Chameleons arc was actually really neat. Super odd to have several issues go by where Peter Parker was not Peter Parker (they even changed the colors of the inner monologue boxes), but an effective way to eliminate the status quo and get NYC hating Spidey again. ...

Tomb Raider Looks Good? Tomb Raider Looks Great! [GO/ER]
The trailer for the new Tomb Raider game, titled Tomb Raider (go figure), looks fantastic. It’s the first trailer for a Tomb Raider game to excite me since, well, ever. I’ve never raided a single tomb with Lara and I’ve never wanted to, but this trailer calls back to the great Uncharted 2 trailer of last year and just might be good? I guess it’s silly to get excited about mechanics from a trailer, but maybe Dude Raider (Uncharted) has a competitor in the original recipe explorer. ...
